Stonehouse-Glasshouse Residency is a program developed in collaboration between Antje and Andrew Géczy, and Res Artis benefactors Michael Schwarz and David Clouston. The primary purpose of the residency is to offer Australian and New Zealand artists the opportunity to live and work in France where cultural exchange, understanding and inspiration is encouraged. In 2019 esteemed artists Virginia Leonard and Karen Black undertook the residency program.

You are invited to join Res Artis as we host an exhibition of works by Virginia and Karen, from Michael and David's collection, accompanied by the launch of a publication that documents Virginia and Karen’s residency experience: Virginia Leonard – Karen Black: Stonehouse – Glasshouse Residency, 2019.

This exhibition and associated events coincide with The drunkard’s cloak, an exhibition at Gertrude Glasshouse by Greatest Hits—the culmination of work from Bell, de Kuijer and McGlinn's residency in Chenaud, France in July of 2022 as part of the Glasshouse/Stonehouse program.

Our Project Space allows us to present compelling contemporary artistic practices from our Members, the artists they support and Res Artis friends.

Res Artis Project Space is located on Wurundjeri woi-wurrung Country at 44 Glasshouse Road, Collingwood, Victoria, Australia 3066.
