Stonehouse Glasshouse is a residency and studio program for Australian and New Zealand artists to live and work in the priory of Chenaud, a small village in the Dordogne region of south-western France.

The main purpose of the residency is to offer Australian and New Zealand artists to live and work in France while encouraging cultural exchange, understanding and inspiration. We seek to enable artistic practice and provide a space where contemporary artistic expression can thrive. The concept is to connect Australian and New Zealand artists with the European art world. Stonehouse Glasshouse offers one residency of six weeks for two artists per year during the European summer in July/August.

The artists are encouraged to use the historic site and region as inspiration for a body of work which they will produce during and after the residency in order to be presented at Gertrude Glasshouse gallery the following year in the months of January and February.

Coinciding with the final exhibition, a catalogue will be produced as a limited edition.
