Six weeks during the summer between July and August

Artist-In-Resident

Two artists
The artists can have single practices or can work in collaboration

Presentation of Artist’s work

Arranged on a case-by-case basis
Exhibition on one or both levels of Gertrude Glasshouse

Expenses paid by the artist

Daily living expenses (food, petrol, etc.)
Artist Supplies
Travel and medical insurance
Freight for any artworks or material

Expenses paid by the organization

Flights and transport from Australia to Chenaud, France and return
Rental car during residency
Stipend of 100 Euro/person/week
General liability insurance for artists while in residency

Expectations of the Artist

Production of a body of work to be exhibited at Gertrude Glasshouse, Melbourne within six months of the residency, preferably between January and February of the following year
Donation of an artwork to be installed in situ in France
Valid driver’s license

Expenses may be adjusted to accommodate specific needs on a case by case basis.


Other Support

Final exhibition at Gertrude Glasshouse, Melbourne, with curatorial and publicity support
Guide to cultural events and services in the Dordogne region
Contact with galleries and/or patrons in London, UK on the return journey to Australia
